Sunday roast; Beef was excellent. Lamb was poor quality and mostly inedible fat. Veg, gravy and Yorkie very good. Roast potatoes were dry and not crispy enough. Staff were friendly. Asked to vacate table as soon as our plates were cleared. Good beer and wine selection. 6.5/10

I booked the Southern Belle as a place to stay the night before my wedding. We (the Groomsmen & I) ended up meeting in the morning for breakfast and using my room to get changed before we headed to the ceremony.

The hotel itself is a bit of a hidden gem. Also functioning as a pub on the ground floor, it offers a relaxed atmosphere and was perfect for what we wanted!

The rooms were a well sized, nicely decorated, very clean. Couldn't ask for much more! I opted for a late check out which gave us the room until 1pm - ideal for getting ready.

Breakfast was lovely. Most of us opted for a full English breakfast which came out quickly and perfectly prepped - even with changes.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They printed my speech for me, gave me a free drink, looked after some things for us behind the bar - it all added up leaving us with a wonderful impression. Thank you all that helped us out!

Really enjoyed our first stay at The Southern Belle. The rooms are excellent and are made up daily. The bar at the front of the hotel is a lovely meeting place serving nice drinks and food. The front of house team were very welcoming and attentive. We will definitely book again for next year as this hotel is very good value for money.

What a charming place! The room was very well decorated and fit the theme of the "Southern Belle" very well. The room was large with a big, comfortable bed, a mounted TV, a nice reading nook with two armchairs and a table, with many windows surrounding, and a table for tea and coffee in the entryway. The bathroom is large and stocked with all the necessary shampoos, conditioners, soaps, lotions and towels. They also offer complimentary toothbrushes and hygienic equipment if needed, which is considerate. They provide breakfast with your stay--many options, big portions, and service in the pub, which is a nice atmosphere.

Das Southern Belle ist ein Pub mit Zimmervermietung in unmittelbarer Strandnähe. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und ausreichend groß.
Das junge Team ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Wir sind mit dem Laptop an einigen Vormittagen vom Zimmer in das Pub zum Arbeiten übersiedelt.

Highly recommended. I booked this Artisan hotel for my friends 60th birthday. I have been before and loved the whole experience and hoped it wouldn’t disappoint, it was even better. The Southern Belle is a beautiful unique hotel. Staff are friendly, welcoming and amazing. All staff were individual and nothing was too much trouble. Thursday is ‘Open Mic Night’ which was great listening to local singers. I booked a table and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. They have a varied menu from small plates to main courses. Alice served breakfast which was very nice. Definitely looking forward to going back. They have a stunning bar area along with additional function rooms.
