Visited the Plotting Parlour in Hove one evening after work.
The cocktails were lovely, the staff warm and friendly, and the place had a very nice atmosphere. Will definitely return ?

I'm Retro Ralph, a Hove based musician, used to performing in/assessing several types of drinking establishments. Had a great experience when I popped in (on an evening off work) for a pre-meal drink without a reservation, my wife and I were seated promptly & served courteously by Alex. Lighting and decor was spot on, would have preferred slightly more Retro music (but just my preference, was appropriate for the demographic they were trying to attract). Cocktails we ordered were excellent (average going rate, not over priced) and Alex was friendly and forthcoming, he later gave us a round of Limoncello on the house. I wish him all the best for the business, people like him deserve to be rewarded for their enterprise..and will be singing their praises (in concert where appropriate!) in future

Great selection of cocktails and a nice seating arrangement. Service is also attentive and the prices are not too expensive.

I'm not a pub girl, but apparently I'm a cocktail bar girl. This place was so reminiscent of hipster Bars in Brooklyn, all the way down to the international wait staff with great hair and mustaches to boot.

It's really pretty inside and the waiters are super attentive. They let you know right off the bat what drinks they were out of and were happy to whip up off menu drinks.

Thomas guided us through our drinks for the evening and absolutely nailed the choices - will definitely return and let him chose our drinks again. Decor is gorgeous. Lovely addition to Hove.

Wonderful experience having a quick drink here before dinner. The service was on point, friendly and attentive without being overbearing, great options on the menu including mocktails / alcohol free ones which we had two of, and both were delicious, and some great options for nice bar snacks as well. The theming is really strong, and definitely worth heading into Hove for if you're staying in Brighton.

We absolutely loved our evening here. The staff were all great, in particular our bartender Henry was brilliant. We sat at the bar and he entertained our conversation and made some fantastic drinks. The Fear & Loathing was a real highlight. Thanks!
