I love Ohlala French course. Manon is an excellent prof, patient and funny and just really good at her job. The conversation class has been so helpful in making me more comfortable with my spoken french. It's a very kind environment and I've met so many other people who share my love of the French language, from all over the world. Manon has a great system for learning, every week she posts a theme with resources attached, for example, favorite French movies and TV series. The resources are both audio and written (in French, of course!), and there are quizzes associated with them to make sure you are understanding. She also posts associated vocabulary for our review using Quizlet. There are 8 conversation courses a week and you can attend as many as you want. They are all moderated by Manon or another French professor, and we spend the first 10 minutes or so reviewing vocabulary or grammar and then we are assigned to a small group of 1 or 2 other learners of more or less the same French level where we spend the rest of the session conversing on the theme of the week, or any topic that interests us. It is a very pleasant, low stress environment, and helps build confidence in this otherwise very difficult part of language learning, conversation. Plus you get to know some super people from other countries and cultures, which is another great learning experience!
I've also had private lessons with one of Manon's profs, and they were wonderful too. If you are looking for a way to become more comfortable with your spoken french I cannot recommend more highly Ohlala French!

For anyone who wants to improve their spoken French AND meet awesome people, look no further.

What I like about Ohlala French coffee is that the classes are available everyday (even twice on certain days), and that I get to meet people from all over the world and from all walks of life--for example, I never dreamed of meeting a retired priest learning French to serve a mission in a Francophone country. Through this course, I had the honor to hear marvelous stories of people who are learning French for various reasons.

It's like traveling the globe every night to grab a coffee with a local friend, having a conversation in French. On top of its fun side, this class has amazing instructors and course contents, so you're not missing out on the academic side of the French language. In fact, this course helped improve not only my speaking skill but also writing skill. I highly recommend this course to anyone and everyone who wants to improve their French.

I‘be been learning foreign languages for a few years and to be honest - Ohlala French Coffee conversation club could be literally one of THE BEST resources I’ve tried! Every week you have a theme, a bunch of interesting questions to discuss that break the ice even with complete strangers, you never feel awkward because there is always something to chat about! I love the small groups of participants where everyone gets a fair chance to practice their speaking, the profs pop in during the chat and help out. Best of all - profs create notes that are conveniently shared with the group after the chat. Definitely recommend to anyone learning French!

I have been participating in the French Coffee conversation group for a year now and would highly recommend this school to anyone interested in learning French! Manon the founder has built several different programs to cover a range of levels and needs i.e., one-on-one classes, group classes, self-learning materials, and conversation groups. She demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and dedication in all her work and regularly produces high quality learning resources.
